This video is very telling. Who are we to be more "compassionate" than God? If we cannot believe God, then what are we doing there? Who are we to speak for God, if we don't know, or won't say what He says?
I post this with great trembling. I am afraid of it. I don't want to be harsh, or uncaring. I don't want to be arrogant. I want to be faithful to God.

We are of all men, most foolish and pitiable. That is obvious.
What would I say?
My opinion here does not matter. I defer to God.
What does God say?
5 And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting. I will demand an accounting from every animal. And from each man, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of his fellow man.
6 "Whoever sheds the blood of man,
by man shall his blood be shed;
for in the image of God
has God made man.7 As for you, be fruitful and increase in number; multiply on the earth and increase upon it."
(Genesis 9:5-7)

I finally get a comment, and it is from a stranger with nothing relevant to say. Very suspect. Comment deleted just in case. I am disappointed. (sigh)
I just don't want someone inadvertently going to some creepy website or downloading some nasty bug . I'm sorry, Biby Cletus from the other side of planet earth if you are for real, make yourself known.
Warmly,
Rachel
It was an informative video. What do you do about someone who goes against the law? Not sure what I would say to that...
Yup...I never thought about it before. There is the whole issue of women being coerced through authority over her, or psychological powers or intimidation. Definitely the abortionist would be liable. Money, I thing still is not an excusable motive in our system.
It is a difficult thing to think about, but why is that? Is it because we have been so deafened to the voice of God, that we cannot see justice through our rosie glasses of compassion and understanding?
I know this is a tough one. I REALLY appreciate your input.
I love you.
Hi Rachel,
No, I didn't go to the doctor but I am feeling much better right now. Brandon's first week, thus far, went very well. I think he is a natural teacher and I don't expect him to have huge problems.
That video is very telling of how our culture has completely permeated our rationale. Why is it that in America when a woman gives birth to a baby and then kills it moments later or leaves it in a dumpster to die, almost everyone would feel the mother should be charged with murder (w/out hesitation), but when the baby is unborn, no one knows the answer to the question.
I understand the desire to sound compassionate and loving, but I know of very few more compassionate acts than the act of discipline/punishment. God holds those women (and anyone else in her life pushing her commit the evil act) accountable, why wouldn't our judicial system do the same? Murder is murder. There are always exceptions to the rule, but we ought not establish the rules based on only the exceptions.
Maybe it sounds unloving, but in reality, convicting a woman for murder who commits an abortion is merciful and loving. It is love to our society, so they may see what abortion truly is, and it is love to the individual that she may know this is an act of which one must repent.
Thank you, Lauren. That is what I wanted to say, and, shamefully, didn't want to say.
It is true, though, and we have to think about these things as we step up to call people to awareness of sin and truth and to repentance.
Right now, since American "justice" is so far from God's law, we... Argh! It just messes with the mind! We have to be sober, and diligent and conform ourselves to God's word, and not to the world.
Thanks.
God, keep you from error. Teach us Your ways.
*Oops! I didn't me to ask God to keep Himself from error, but to keep us from error.
