Husband: She (my daughter) gets something in her head and won't let it go.

1 Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, 2 when they see the purity and reverence of your lives. 3 Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. 4 Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. 5 For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful. God, Give me a gentle and quiet spirit by which I will reflect your assurance and mortify my will, my image, and my self. Give me grace to follow my husband with joy and regard my reputation with abandon.

Do not fear man and his opinion of who you are. Rather, use it and see if it helps to point you back to God, to Christ and to dependance on the Holy Spirit. If that is the case listen and learn. IF not then return to the Fear of the Lord, which is where all wisdom begins.

I think, right now, God is using people to show me the sin of hard-heartedness, or hard headedness. God, I find, softens my heart and gets my attention through a lot of little incidences, and then WHAM! a glaring something happens that confirms it. (the WHAM! came Monday. It would be funny if it weren't so sinful)
I want to be adament only when it comes to God's truth and flexible on all debatable issues. What I need is discernment in knowing the difference, and humility, I suppose.
